THE FULLEST Scopes: Vitality and Vigor

We enter August just after the Leo New Moon, a little more connected to our core, and our fire. This month will be dominated, mostly by the Sun and Mercury’s contact with Uranus and Saturn, the two heavy hitters that dominated most of 2021, uprooting so many of our lives and radically shifting our perspectives. Saturn brings maturation while Uranus brings liberation. They’re in Aquarius and Taurus, respectively, both Fixed Signs, like Leo. Fortune, as they say, favors the bold. This energy is willful and determined.

Strength of heart is needed now, a willingness to engage life fully.

And then as Leo gives way to Virgo, our hearts anchor in the small moments, the everyday rituals that give meaning and form to our lives. The theme for this month is: vitality...

vī-tăl′ĭ-tē / noun

  1. The capacity to live, grow, or develop.
  2. The characteristic, principle, or force that distinguishes living things from nonliving things.
  3. Physical or intellectual vigor; energy or liveliness. synonym: vigor.

Full Moon in Aquarius, August 11th, 9:36 PM EST

This Full Moon, conjunct Saturn and square Mars and Uranus, is assertive, principled and wild. Uranus deals in the unpredictable. More than adaptability is needed, however. This energy is electric and lightning quick. We may find ourselves restless or angry in the week or so leading up to this lunation. A great propellor forward…use it. We often think we need to wait until the timing is perfect or the proverbial iron is hot, but the time is always now. If we don’t direct this energy, it’s bound to direct us. Spirit meets us at the point of action.

New Moon in Virgo, August 27th, 4:17 AM EST

This New Moon is a bit all over the place, a perfect opportunity for Virgo to display its gift for efficiency, drawing order from chaos. Virgo is service-oriented, buttressing those around it with its grounded efficiency. During these times, Virgoan discernment is needed more than ever. We may find ourselves distracted and pulled every which way. Keep it simple, focus on the essentials, finding devotion through ritual and learning. In our hyper-extroverted era, humility is often confused for weakness. But humility (not humiliation!) is the gateway to true spiritual revelation and the whispers of the soul. Pay attention, this moon says, God is in the details.

August Zodiac Ritual

This month is a cosmic marriage between connecting to our core and fire and finding strength and sacredness in the everyday. To harness and access our internal energy that rests in our sacral, and equally to root into the earth, we suggest using August as a time to deepen through a pelvic steaming practice. Our Womb Protector™ pelvic steaming herb blend is formulated to connect you to your intuition and to remove any physical and emotional blocks from your second chakra. Why not practice weekly and keep a journal nearby to note down any messages that are released or uncovered?Danielle Beinstein is a psychological and intuitive astrologer based in Nashville.
