In My Orbit with CAP Beauty

At any given point, each of us has a bunch of people, places, and practices that are circling our orbits and influencing our lives in a variety of ways. In this monthly feature, we sit down with some of the best wellness-y people and get inspired by all that is positively enhancing their lives. In this edition, we caught up with Kerrilynn Pamer, the co-founder of the incredible CAP Beauty and one of our favorite resources for pantry staples, natural products, recipes, spirituality and mindfulness. As a true champion of holistic living, this column is full of beautifying and healing gold. Check out Kerrilynn’s go-to’s below!

Q: This is obviously a moving target — but what’s your current wellness philosophy?

I had a very bad accident last month and I have been in the process of relearning to walk so wellness has taken on an entirely new meaning for me. To be honest, right now to be well, means to be alive. Which feels really good and fills me with a gratitude I had previously only known intellectually. Now I know it in my body and mind.

Q: Which foods are currently taking prime position in your kitchen pantry?

Always vegetables and with my recent accident, my body was calling out for salmon which I haven't had in over 10 years. I listened and it’s treating me very well. I also lean heavily into my husband's sauerkraut, tons of water with electrolytes, matcha, and I'm trying out all sorts of other black teas as I can't drink my much loved espresso with the homeopathic medications I am taking. Avocados, matcha togarashi, smoked tamari on everything, and sourdough here and there.

Q: What’s your works-every-single-time mood booster?

Listening to REALLY loud music, dancing when I can, and always, meditation. Movement has always been my go-to in this realm, so I'm leaning heavily into things that don't require my body to shift during this time. It's a learning process.

Q: The last thing you Googled?

"Does espresso REALLY cancel the effects of homeopathy?" My homeopath said I'm displaying classic addict tendencies — bargaining to get my substance from my dealer!

Q: Who — or what — can you count on to make you laugh?

My husband, always and forever. His sense of humor is not for everyone, but it is most definitely for me.

Q: Is there a practice, item, or piece of wisdom you’ve kept from childhood that still holds meaning for you today?

Look to the animals for the answers, they are all knowing and always generous with their knowledge. You just need to listen.

Q: When do you feel most beautiful?

On my horse. Unfortunately it's going to be awhile until that happens again.

Q: Are there any healers or teachers you have on speed dial?

Alexis Smart for her brilliant flower remedies and homeopathy; Carolyn Barron Garcia for the best acupuncture I’ve ever experienced; Paola Atlason as my number one nutrition guide; Victoria Song for her immense knowledge of the transformational properties of the mind, and some other angels that don't have phones. Literally.

Q: What’s your preferred movement practice?

Horseback riding. Also yoga, swimming in the ocean, and long walks.

Q: Do you have a dream floating in your orbit that’s not yet realized?

To have a farmhouse with all the animals, gardens, space, and light that invites everyone in to share a meal, curl up in front of the fire, and be their most true, authentic selves.

Q: How does THE FULLEST align with you and fit into your life?

I appreciate the deep dives that THE FULLEST takes into the practices, healers, products and modalities that it shares. It’s an active and always evolving source of information.Kerrilynn Pamer is the co-founder and CEO of CAP Beauty; a beauty as wellness platform that is home to some of the most magical resources including their book High Vibrational Beauty and their blog The Thinking CAP. She created CAP seven years ago to share the power of the plants with as many as possible. Since then, CAP has created its own plant products in the form of their divine coconut butter and their The CAPnola. Her life is committed to the pursuit of beauty and feeling all the feelings. She loves cooking, spending time in the sun, and being with her animals. She has a deep reverence for this life she has been gifted.
