THE FULLEST Faves XXI

Summer has arrived and with it lots of time to connect and commune with our loved ones and ourselves. Our founder, Nikki Bostwick, has been doing just that and you’ll find this month’s faves full of intuitive practices such as pelvic steaming and dream interpretation, a summer read about the sovereign self, and some nourishing self-care that includes cupping for aches and pains and on-the-go organic snacks. We’d be remiss if we didn't also mention Roe V Wade and Nikki echoes all our thoughts on this sad moment and empowers us to find our sovereignty where we can.

Medical Freedom

I’ve said this before, but it needs to be said as a reminder, especially now with Roe v Wade overturned (which feels like a huge blow to every woman across the world). Nobody, no national government, no state has the authority to decide what you do with your body. Allowing any government to even THINK that they have the ability to control this is a problem in and of itself. This is between you and your own intuition. Do I think Planned Parenthood has a problematic history with a foundation on eugenics? Yes. Are they still somewhat sketchy? Probably — like most large medical organizations! I think there is a lot that the mainstream media doesn’t share but that is beside the point. We may not all agree on the best path forward when someone finds themselves in this position; but what we can all agree on is that it’s no one else’s business! Being a parent is hard. Is it a death sentence? No. It can be quite the opposite. The real work is about changing our perspective and teaching our children and all adults to learn about sexual responsibility. We wrote an article a while ago on this topic that might be a hard read at this moment, but it is also empowering as it helps us get to the root cause of the issue and to be clear, conscious and certain in our choices. On that note, every person has a human right — regardless of where they live — to have access to safe medical care. And anyone thinking they have authority over you and your body can F off.

Womb Protector™

I first used steaming to support my healing journey after the birth of both my children and it’s a beautiful way to tap back into my body and to heal tender tissues that were torn birthing my babies. When steaming for postpartum, you are also helping cleanse the womb and support your internal organs, so it's helpful whether you had a vaginal delivery or C-section! Now I steam on a monthly basis as a tool for me to reconnect with myself and support my hormonal balance, my cycle and prevent cramps while I’m actively menstruating. If you don’t currently have a pelvic steaming practice, I highly recommend starting one. What a wonderful opportunity it is to share with our daughters a natural way to support our intimate parts and connect with our intuition!

One Degree Organics Instant Oatmeal

I was such an instant oatmeal lover as a child — of course, it was the non-organic flavored kind from Quaker. Fast forward to now and I still love oatmeal and porridge. I make it for my babies but I found this glyphosate-free, organic blend from One Degree Organics and I fell in love! My kids ended up not wanting it, so I tried it, and now it's my breakfast for my inner child. I’m also really into it because it literally takes two minutes to make — all you need to do is boil water and add it to the oatmeal and you instantly have a meal! So grateful to have quick ways to get nutrients in, especially when life is so busy with the kids home for the summer.

Sovereign Self

A dear friend mentioned she was reading this book and said it was so good. It’s also predicting so much of what’s happening in the world right now through ancient Vedic texts. I ordered it immediately and it's on my summer reading list.

Acupuncture and Cupping for Body Aches

I recently had Covid, (although I kept testing negative) I checked off all the symptoms, and the worst one is definitely the body aches and headache! I drank a Warm Feelings™ saffron latte and took a hot bath with our Inheal™ probiotic saffron milk bath to help with the headache, then booked the first appointment I could for acupuncture and cupping. As soon as I left that appointment my aches and pains disappeared, so I will always be bookmarking this TCM hack the next time I get Covid — which we all know is here to stay!

The Dream Intuitive

I stumbled on this woman’s Instagram account and was so excited because I always have wild dreams and now there’s someone to whom you can pay less than $30 to and she will interpret your dream! Sometimes it's really helpful to get insight into what’s going on in your life — bookmark her for the next time you need to look deeper after a vivid dream.Nikki Bostwick is the founder of THE FULLEST and host of THE FULLEST Podcast.
