THE FULLEST Scopes: It’s Time to Consolidate

Consolidation:

  1. The action or process of making something stronger or more solid. "The permanent consolidation of peace.”
  2. The action or process of combining a number of things into a single more effective or coherent whole. "A consolidation of data within an enterprise."

Capricorn season, which greets us at the end of each year, is a time of integration. Capricorn is yin, feminine energy, rooted in the ancient wisdom of this earth. This sign has an appreciation for tradition, history, antiquity, that which stands the test of time. Speaking of which, it’s ruled by Saturn, the gatekeeper of mortal time and physical world reality. This January we’re also experiencing the retrograding of Venus, planet of love, money and values, also in Capricorn until the 29th. We’ll be lasering in on what matters most.We had the New Moon in Capricorn on the 2nd. Overall, the beginning of the month and year is for fortifying our goals. New Moons are for planting seeds and this one is perfectly aligned with the start of a new Gregorian year. We’re supported in setting long term intentions. Two weeks later on the 19th, we experience the potentially transformative energy of the full moon, when our emotional bonds are illuminated. We may find ourselves engaged in power struggles with others, or within our own psyche. We all have needs and we all experience struggles in having them met. It’s an ongoing negotiation. In other January news, the North Node, a planet that reveals the qualities we’re meant to move into (as opposed to the South Node that reveals the qualities we’re moving away from), moves into Taurus on January 18th. This means, we’ll be exploring themes of ownership, sensuality, and materialism well into 2023.Uranus also continues its tour of Taurus through 2026, meaning we can expect reversals, disruptions, and innovations throughout the Eclipse series. In other words, we’ll be seeing further fallout from the pandemic — which is why consolidation is key as integration provides resilience and the capacity to navigate life’s ups and downs. On the 19th, the Sun moves out of Capricorn and enters Aquarius. During Capricorn season, structure reaches new heights as the collective is taken into consideration. This makes way for Aquarius and its vision, clairvoyance, and inner sight that attunes to trends in the collective. Unlike Capricorn, it’s more interested in breaking the rules than playing by them. Finally, we close out the month with Venus’s direct motion on the 29th. After a long retrograde, our finances and values have undergone considerable review since December 19th. Now, we’re left with deeper commitment to what we value most — and the clarity of that is always going to put us on the right path.Danielle Beinstein is a psychological and intuitive astrologer based in Nashville.
