THE FULLEST Faves XV

This month signals the transition into winter, the season of hibernation. As a mom of two little ones and continuing to work full-time, going inwards and slowing down looks different for Nikki this year. Although there’s less introspective and alone time, there’s still small but profound shifts that can create space and the feeling of nesting even in a lively and bustling household. We’re talking the gift of routine, at home acupuncture, and simple tea rituals. Get inspired to add some calm to your domestic life with these loved and tested products and practices from our editor-in-chief.

Kanjo

Acupressure mats resemble acupuncture benefits by stimulating your pressure points and creating a deep relaxation state. I love this one from Kanjo – made with natural coconut fiber and 100% organic cotton linen. It's a great sustainable and economical choice to address any aches and discomfort at home.

Gathre

Famous for the ultimate baby mat, this company has grown to a whole assortment of products like bibs, place mats, runners, playroom cushions, and even tree skirts. Personally, I love their scalloped tree skirt. It’s really cute and definitely worth checking out.Use code FULLEST10 for 10% off your Gathre purchase through the end of the month. Exclusions apply.

Merci Milo

The sweetest online children’s toy shop and boutique based in East LA, Merci Milo offers a wide range of heirloom-quality products and Waldorf-type toys that encourage intuitive learning. Available in-store and online, they’re the perfect place to find unique gifts for baby showers, holidays, and birthdays.

Standard Dose

Just when you think you’ve seen all there is in the realm of beauty and wellness stores, Standard Dose comes into the picture. Everything from their product offerings and lineup, to their genuine customer support, is an elevated experience. I love their editorials, their product tutorials, and their entire assortment. Definitely recommend bookmarking them for the next time you’re looking to browse any products in the wellness scene (including ours which you can shop through them as well).

Strands of Sunshine™

I love making tea late at night with our Strands of Sunshine™ saffron threads. My favorite part is chewing on the threads after they’ve been hydrated in the water. It’s the perfect little bedtime snack and nervous system regulator.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized environment AKA a hyperbaric chamber. The benefit is that the air pressure is two to three times higher than normal air pressure. Under these conditions, your lungs can gather much more oxygen than would be possible by breathing pure oxygen at normal air pressure. When your blood carries this extra oxygen throughout your body, this helps fight bacteria and stimulates the release of substances called growth factors and stem cells, which promote healing. While it was first used to successfully treat someone dying from the flu, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a well-established treatment for any infections, burns, anemia, radiation injury, brain abscess, and more.

Evening Family Routines

Having two kids means we are getting deeper into our daily routines and rhythms. We used to be so much more relaxed with one kid when it came to our schedules but navigating two kids, our big families, our social life, and our full time work schedules has been a lot lately. We finally ended up making a commitment to be home early in the evenings by 5 pm to test the difference it could make in our children’s sleeping habits and our overall time together as a family. So far, it’s been such a game changer for both of the kids and has helped us have more quality time together as a family, as well as alone as a couple. Kids thrive in routine and feel safe when they can expect what happens next. I highly recommend creating one that works for your family!Nikki Bostwick is the founder and editor in chief of THE FULLEST and host of THE FULLEST Podcast.
