THE FULLEST FAVES V

Ethical pet beds, the coolest baby carriers, the best water delivery service, and seaweed snacks for the win. Find this month's faves below:

Bolga Pet Bed

This hand-woven Bolga dog bed is finally a pet bed I can get on board with! Over the years, I’ve collected lots of Bolga woven baskets from Ghana. Mainly because they’re at every store I visit, from trendy general stores to farm stands. So adding this to my collection was a no brainer.

Halotherapy

Halotherapy is an alternative treatment that involves breathing salty air. Back in 1843, a Polish physician by the name of Feliks Boczkowski noticed that salt mine workers did not experience respiratory issues or lung disease, as opposed to other miners. Almost one hundred years later, a German Doctor named Karl Hermann Spannagel, noticed his patients' health improved after hiding in salt caves to avoid heavy bombing during WWII. There are a lot of theories on how it works: one being that the inhalation of the tiny salt particles kills off microorganisms in the lungs or salt causing a general reduction of inflammation and decrease of mucus. Ultimately, they’ve found that inhaling salt can treat respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, and allergies.

As a family, we frequent a local salt room studio that offers Halotherapy several times a week. It helps when we are coming down with a cold, and it also keeps our skin clear from blemishes. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend checking it out.

Peaceful Kids Playlist

My husband put this playlist together for our toddler and it is honestly my go-to soundtrack even when I’m not with my son. I love the soothing and uplifting sounds, and regardless of having a kid or not, I think it’s a playlist many people will enjoy!

Lime SeaSnax

I’ve never been one to eat these types of snacks, but after one of our employees at THE FULLEST brought these into the office, it changed everything about seaweed for me! With only 4 ingredients: seaweed, lime, sea salt, and extra virgin olive oil, I dare you to try them — that is if you can get your hands on them! So far, the only place I’ve seen them stocked has been Erewhon only because Whole Foods and most other grocery stores don’t carry this particular flavor. We usually resort to buying it online; we love using Thrive Market or purchasing from their website directly.

Alive Water Delivery

Alive Water is a delivery service that sources their water from Opal Springs in Central Oregon. The spring releases 108,000 gallons per minute, which flows from deep within a basaltic lava tube. Alive Water collects less than .1% of the total flow directly from the tube which protects the ecosystem. We love using their delivery service for THE FULLEST office and I totally feel the difference between the living spring water in the office and my double-filtered water at home. I also love that the brand uses eco-friendly soap to wash all of their bottles and a similar soap to wash their delivery vehicles as well! If you’re looking for water delivery, this is the one to use!

Artipoppe

This baby carrier company makes all their carriers from natural fabrics like cashmere, cotton, and mulberry silk! I love this one in particular because of the yin/yang print and can’t wait to use it with my sweet baby Grace who is due in July!

Mindful Immunity

My original intention for this syrup was to share the benefits of barberries with the rest of the wellness community! Barberries are an underutilized but incredibly potent berry from the Middle East and known for their infection fighting properties and high levels of vitamin C. My family has been able to enjoy their healing benefits since I can remember and I’m very excited for our community to experience the same effects! Also, the syrup’s tart and sweet taste is my absolute favorite flavor in our saffron range.
