A Note From Our Founder About Saffron

Recently, I've been looking back at how much the fullest has grown -- what started as a little wellness blog called Poppy+Seed has turned into a full-blown media company with daily content, a podcast with over a hundred thousand streams, an ongoing event series, and now our very own products. It has definitely been a journey navigating the delicate balance between building an authentic brand and finding revenue streams we believe in to keep us going in our mission to bring you real, fullest-approved content that will stick with you on your way towards a fuller life (or at least longer than the next clickbait article)! We are here to deliver meaningful content that inspires you to be your own advocate when it comes to health, relationships, politics, and more. We believe that only you know what’s best for yourself -- so don’t be afraid of asking questions when things don’t add up. And go easy on yourself; there’s a time and place for everything and relaxing is part of the equation, too!One of the main things we did this year as a company was to create our own products. We set out on a mission to build a saffron based product line -- starting with our Saffron Latte. But why saffron?Growing up as an Iranian American, I knew firsthand the benefits of the spice. My mother always had a vial of it in the fridge and I loved to take it by the dropperfuls because it would make me laugh and laugh and laugh. (Have we mentioned it makes you downright blissful?)20 years later, armed with a plant-based culinary school education and the fullest’s wellness platform centered around happiness, I began formulating the Saffron Latte after coming across a double blind placebo study against a well known leading name brand antidepressant, and found that saffron was proven to be just as effective (if not more) in treating bouts of depression. And, as if that wasn’t enough to inspire me to build the upgraded golden milk of the decade, they also found that it works instantly to increase levels of serotonin and dopamine in your body... whereas most prescriptions take up to six weeks to kickstart. These studies claim that just 30mg of saffron per day can make a huge change in your overall mood and I took that to the next level by formulating our Saffron Latte with 150mg per serving, using the most bioavailable methods possible. When it’s combined with the organic fats in coconut, saffron is more easily absorbed in the gut (where more than 90% of your serotonin is made) and benefits go straight to the brain (which is made up of mostly fats)! What I know is this: there is a mental health epidemic in this country and if there is any way we can do our part in sharing inspiring content and the gentle-yet-powerful benefits of this spice as a daily support in our little toolbox, I know we are making an impact. Because ultimately we believe that wellness is about happiness -- and what better way to share that message than with a product that is proven to make you feel good!Try our Saffron Latte today and get free shipping and 10% off with code feelgood. These claims are the fullest’s opinions based on studies. Always contact your physician before making any major medical decisions.
