The Most Luxe Dispensaries in LA
If you’re still associating cannabis with that empty parking lot and the strange-looking guy your friend would call in college to hook them up, you better get up to speed. Weed is legal! Today, you can find cannabis in everything from beauty supplies to freshly-baked cookies, and we’ve traded in that sketchy dude for some luxurious digs that will have you shopping for cannabis in a whole new way. Think contemporary design, Insta-worthy walls, and products that are infused with the best that nature has to offer.
The Westwood Farmacy --
This boutique prides itself on offering customers over 150 local and designer growers, including strains like Strawberry Diesel, Orange Cookies, and Future Berries. Since 2006, when marijuana was limited strictly to medicinal use, The Westwood Farmacy has been providing LA with edibles, CBD pre-rolls, vapes, and topical products, as well as popular strains like Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid.
Med Men --
Often described as the “Apple store of cannabis,” Med Men boasts four locations in LA -- complete with hardwood floors and ceilings, easy-to-use touch screens, and even their own brands of cannabis like Statemade, LuxLyte, and, of course, their namesake Med Men. Try their home brand vape pens or THC-infused lotions and grab some of their cool cannabis-themed tee’s while you’re there.
The Pottery --
Get out your phone, because this place has Instagram written all over it. (Seriously, be sure to check out the floor-to-ceiling mural of Miley Cyrus getting her smoke on.) Not only is the shop super cute, it’s also huge and offers a wide range of products. Hash? Check! Edibles? Double check! CBD-infused beauty? Of course. They even have branded merch for your dog -- literally, this is LA at it’s most extra.
King’s Crew Long Beach --
No one says no to peanut butter cookies, and even more so if they’re saturated with Indica. Offering everything from basic vape refills to spicy, sea salt-infused almonds, this cannabis boutique is designed to make you feel like a king (or queen!) for a day. Grab a seat on the high-backed, golden throne chairs to take a pic for the ‘gram — peanut butter cookies in hand.
The High End --
Even Barneys is getting in on the cannabis game. Head to the fifth floor of Barneys Beverly Hills and you’ll find a custom space that caters to the most well-heeled cannabis clients. You won’t find any pre-rolls here, but you will find gold rolling papers, custom-blown glass pipes from Caleb Siemon, limited-edition silver vape pens, and grinders and joint clips from Good Art HLYWD.
ShowGrow --
Looking for something a little more intimate where you can pick and choose what works best for you? Head to ShowGrow where you’ll find flowers, topicals, and wax in a low-key, super-friendly atmosphere. Everything is covered in palm tree prints and astroturf and screams SoCal culture -- from the local, Cali-based brands they carry to their beach clean up days. Sign up for their reward program and find out about events with live music and celeb meet and greets.
Cookies Los Angeles --
While this dispensary isn’t quite as upscale as Barneys or as flashy as The Pottery, what they lack in razzle dazzle they make up for in pure quality. With their own 25,000-square-foot farm, Cookies Los Angeles is cultivating their own cannabis that they believe is some of the best in the world. We’ll leave that up for you to decide, but keep in mind their available strains change daily… so grab your favorite while they have it!Marissa Stempien is a freelance editor and writer that loves a good day at the beach.
