Travel Guide: Park City, Utah

Park City is well known for its star-studded winter scene (hi, Sundance!), but is often overlooked as a travel destination the rest of the year. That’s why we've compiled a list of the mountain town’s coolest shops, restaurants, and must-sees that are worth visiting no matter the season. From healthy restaurants where you can fuel yourself after a long day of exploring to hunting down the trendiest shops in town, we’ve got you covered.

EAT:

Conjure up your perfect breakfast and chances are it’ll look similar to what Harvest Park City is cookin’ up. This breakfast hotspot offers decadent avocado toast (and oat milk lattes) that will keep you satiated for an entire day’s worth of activities. Their menu has a range of healthy foods that are easy on the eyes and promise not to disappoint on portion sizes. Pink Elephant has got your caffeine needs covered. This cute cafe offers everything from perfectly roasted black coffee and turmeric lattes to kombucha on tap and green juices. They roast their beans local in Park City and take pride in serving high-quality artisanal coffee.Come for the American modern cuisine, stay for the cocktails. Handle serves up a rustic-inspired local and seasonal menu that brings creative twists to old dishes. With a hip ambiance paired with food you’ll love, it’s no wonder this is a favorite spot for longtime residents and visitors alike. Only open for dinner, be sure to call for a reservation ahead of time to guarantee a table!

STAY:

If small boutique hotels are your thing, look no further than Washington School House. Aptly named, this former school house is thoughtfully and elegantly redesigned, accented with plenty of white and wood. Our favorite part of the hotel, though, is their dream-worthy pool that can be enjoyed year round.Montage Deer Valley does it again with another beautiful hotel that makes it hard to leave and actually explore the city. (We won’t judge you if you choose to spend your entire trip drinking hot chocolate in one of the fluffy bathrobes they provide.) It’s a few miles outside of Park City proper, but their ski-in ski-out facilities more than make up for the distance.

SHOP:

If mountain activities aren’t your thing, Park City has a range of small shops that can keep you entertained. Prospect is one of those treasures, though don’t let its tiny storefront fool you. Offering a selection of men's, women's, and children’s apparel plus footwear and home goods, there is enough for everyone to find their own bit of mountain treasure.A magical assortment of wonderful little things, Mercantile is the type of shop you can spend hours in. From candles to cutlery to cozy blankets, this is the store to find thoughtful gifts... or just to treat yourself.Cake Boutique is where you’ll find that sweater you’ve always been searching for, but never quite knew you needed. (Needless to say, you’ll be wearing it for many winters to come.) Known for its range of contemporary designers, their carefully curated selection is created with a cool girl vibe. When the store began quickly selling out of all their skincare products, the owners decided to open up C Two by Cake, a sister shop that specializes in skincare and cosmetics.Gorsuch is the chic ski-apparel line of your dreams. This company’s designs ooze chalets and champagne. (We’re drooling over their insanely sexy ski suits.) Stop by their Main Street store to check out the latest ski collection and range of accessories. They’ll get you lookin’ Park City ready in no time!
