Since the beginning of… well, time basically, women have been coming together to gather. Quilt is the app that brings the ancient art of circling to the modern world. This week, we sit down and have our own female-only gathering with Quilt founders, Ashley Sumner and Gianna Wurzl. Unlike other women’s networking or community events, Quilt is different in that it aims to gather and build community inside people’s homes rather that neutral spaces. It’s this act of opening your personal home to other women that allows people to share more personally and vulnerably. Ashley and Giana also remind us of the importance of diversity in female connection building. Each group brings together women of all backgrounds and ages so that you can create relationships that don’t look like your regular girl gang. Quilt, to us, reflects the broader shifts happening in culture -- women coming together, connecting deeper than surface-level similarities, and using our compassions and vulnerability to create true relationships. And what world doesn’t need more of that?Referenced in this episode:
