Chocolate Maca Milk
While we definitely believe in questioning the norm and never accept anything simply because it’s been said to be so, we also recognize the value in adaptation. It’s important to understand that resistance doesn't always pay off. Resistors are typically people who are averse to change, who see things as black and white, and ultimately limit themselves in the place where they stand out of fear, lack of knowledge, or just pure stubbornness. Adaptable people are more able to look at things objectively. They are able to navigate more effectively in diverse situations. While they’re not pushovers, they don't turn everything into a fight. Our bodies and our stress levels act very much the same way. When we adapt we feel healthier, more grounded, and have more energy. When we resist we're tired, sick, and run down. Our adrenal glands manage our bodies’ stress levels and when we've conditioned our system to “adapt” we are better able to handle anything that life may throw our way—whether it be emotional or physical stress, self-induced stress, or the stressors from environmental factors. It’s time to stop resisting and bring on the adaptogens. Not sure what adaptogens are? You can read more about these little magical herbs and how they were here. We love them because they work, and because they are safe to consume for most people.Maca is probably the most well known adaptogen. It's has been a popular superfood for the last few years. Maca is sometimes referred to as natural viagra because it boosts sexual function for both men and women, works as an aphrodisiac, and helps elevate overall mood. You feel fresher and friskier. Maca works as a great hormonal balancer, and can be especially beneficial to improve fertility. The flavor is milky, malty, and pairs well with chocolate and nut milks because of its stimulating factor. It is definitely best to have it with fats and more grounding ingredients.
